Ministry
to the Sick:
Rev. Popovici
will make monthly visits to the sick on the first Friday of the month.
Kindly
notify the Rectory office about any sick or aged who are confined to
home or to
a nursing home, or hospitalized, and he will gladly visit them and
bring the
sacraments. It is responsibility of the immediate family to notify the
pastor.
In case of emergencies please call any time.

Rosary:
The
Apostleship of Prayer and Rosary Society request members and

State Ukrainian Day Committee wishes to invite our parishioners to

(Previous) Of the four
gospels, only Matthew and Luke give accounts of Jesus' genealogy The
accounts
in the two gospels are substantially different. Several explanations
have been
suggested and it has been traditional to assume that Luke's genealogy
traces
through Mary and Matthew's through Joseph since at least 1490. Some
contemporary scholars generally view the genealogies as theological
constructs.
More specifically, some have suggested that the author of Matthew wants
to
underscore the birth of a Messianic child of royal lineage. (Solomon
is
included in the list); whereas, in this interpretation, Luke's
genealogy is
priestly (e.g., it mentions Levi). Mary is mentioned in passing in the genealogy
given by
Matthew, but not in Luke's, while Matthew gives Jacob as Joseph's
father and
Luke says Joseph was the son of Heli. Both accounts, when read at face
value,
trace Jesus' line though his human father Joseph back to King David
and from
there to Abraham.
These lists are identical between Abraham and David (except for one),
but they
differ almost completely between David and Joseph (having only
Zerubbabel and
Shealtiel in common). Joseph,
husband of Mary, appears in descriptions of
Jesus'
childhood. No mention, however, is made of Joseph during the ministry
of Jesus.
The New Testament books of Matthew, Mark, and Galatians tell of Jesus'
relatives,
including words sometimes translated as "brothers" and
"sisters". Luke also mentions that Elizabeth, mother of John the
Baptist,
was
a "cousin" or "relative" of Mary,[Lk. 1:36]
which would make John a distant cousin of Jesus. (To

Походження та Родина
(Продовження) З чотирьох Євангелій
тільки Матей та Лука описують походження Іс. Хр.. Але зміст походження
Іс. в цих
двох Євангелій різниться між собою. Тому що Лука описує походження
Ісуса через
Марію. а Матей описує походження від Йосифа. Деякі вчені говорять, що
походження
Ісуса це теологічне значення. А точніше Матей хоче показати, що корінь
Ісуса
Христа це королівський корінь(навіть цар Соломон включений у родоводі).
В Євангелії
Луки родовід Христа це походження священичого роду. Матей подає, що
Яків був
батьком Йосифа, а Лука подає, що Гелі був батьком Йосифа. Обидва
підкреслюють
лінію Христа, що Йосиф був Його батьком земського життя ідучи родоводом
до царя
Давида і потім до Авраама. Родовід від Авраама до Давида у обидвох
Євангеліях є
однаковий, але від Давида до Йосифа родовід Ісуса Христа є дуже
змінливий.
Йосиф муж Марії появляється в описуванні дитинства Іс. Хр. Новий
Тестамент в Євангелії
Матея, Марка та у Посланні до Галатів говорять про братів та родичів
Ісуса,але
дуже часто описані, як брати і сестри. Лука описує про Елізавету, матір
